Terms & Conditions
Please read thoroughly before enrolling.
1.) Uniform must be purchased through teacher Kate or Ballet Steps Constantia for shoes, stockings etc (Jane 082 407 2927). Step It Up Dance Academy uniform is a requirement, and children are to wear it to all classes – no variations or mix matching skirts and leotards. (Uniform may be purchased after attending 3 lessons)
2.) 1 term full notice in writing (handed in or emailed) must be given if classes are going to be discontinued. No verbal or SMS will be accepted. I acknowledge that I am responsible for that term’s fees.
3.) 10% sibling discount off fees.
4.) Contact Kate directly for fee structure 067 359 5879.
5.) Classes run on government school terms – 4 terms, each term consists of between 8- 10 weeks of dancing. There will be no classes during the holidays or on public holidays. (Unless specified by teacher Kate) some Saturday classes may move to Sundays if there are concerts, exams, competitions, eisteddfods you will be notified of the change.
6.) In the event that your child is sick or cannot attend class for whatever reason on the day that he/she has dance class, the fee amount remains the same irrespective of your child being sick or not being able to attend class.
7.) A make-up lesson may be done on another day in your child’s same age category. At any one of Step It Up Dance Academy’s venues within the same term of the class that was missed. It may not be carried over into another term/ new year.
8.) Fees to be paid termly (a payment plan may be organized with teacher Kate)
if paying cash place in a clearly marked envelope with child’s full name, amount to be given
directly to the dance teacher.
9.) If paying via eft child’s full name as a reference. Eg: Elizabeth Anne Swan.

10.) Pop (proof of payment) to be emailed to stepitupdance2019@gmail.com or an SMS notification to Kate 067 359 5879.
12.) Important dates to note 2026:
Dance exams April (school grade 1 upwards).
Ballet Eisteddfod 20-31 May.
Modern Eisteddfod 5-15 June.
Time dance comp 25 August – 12/13 September.
Baxter production 23 & 24 October.
Rehearsal week in the theatre 19-22 October.

13.) Mommy & me dance classes:
No recording of any kind, without prior permission from teacher Kate (it is a special bonding time with your child and devices may be distracting to your child, other children and moms).
No outside visitors watching lessons (dads, grannies, aunties, friends etc) without prior arrangement.
14.) Most communication for Step It Up Dance Academy is done via broadcast message on WhatsApp or via a dance group. Please ensure you save Step It Up Dance Academy number on your phone to receive notifications.
15.) Please ensure your child’s hair is tied back and off their face for classes, a neat bun is preferred especially from primary dance upwards, please ensure they are wearing the correct uniform.

Preschool Classes

2.) 1 term full notice in writing (handed in or emailed) must be given if classes are going to be discontinued. No verbal or SMS will be accepted. I acknowledge that I am responsible for that term’s fees. If notice is given after the 1st the following term is payable.
3) Classes run on 4 terms, each term consists of 8 weeks of dancing. There will be no classes during the holidays or on public holidays. (Unless specified by teacher Kate) if because of school calendar, there are only 7 weeks in the dance term an extra lesson will be added into another term. Fees remain the same.
4.) In the event that your child is sick or cannot attend class for whatever reason on the day that he/she has dance class, the fee amount remains the same irrespective of your child being sick or not being able to attend class.
5.) Fees to be paid termly

Show 2: Saturday 24 October 11am
